You know what? I wasn’t expecting much when I first pulled up to JD Apartamenty on Łomnicka Street – honestly, the name’s a bit of a mouthful with all those Polish details crammed in there. But sometimes the places that don’t try to sound fancy end up being exactly what you need. This spot in Mysłakowice really surprised me, and I mean that in the best way possible.

The thing about this place is that it actually delivers on those promises in the name. The air conditioning works (which, let me tell you, isn’t always a given in smaller Polish towns), the pool is clean and not some tiny afterthought, and yeah, the parking and wifi are genuinely included – no sneaky fees at checkout. I’ve stayed at plenty of places where “free wifi” means you get connected for about five minutes before it cuts out, but here it’s solid throughout the apartments. The pool area is probably my favorite part though – it’s not huge, but it’s got this relaxed vibe where you can actually unwind without feeling like you’re competing for space with a bunch of other guests.

Mysłakowice itself is one of those towns that feels authentically Polish without being touristy, if that makes sense. You’re close enough to the more popular spots in the region, but far enough away that you can walk around Łomnicka Street in the evening and actually hear yourself think. The apartments themselves are surprisingly spacious – I had room to spread out my stuff without living out of a suitcase the whole time. The kitchen setup is practical too, which matters when you want to grab some local groceries and make breakfast without hunting for a decent café first thing in the morning. I will say the check-in process was a bit more casual than I’m used to – not bad, just different – so don’t expect a big hotel lobby experience. But honestly, that kind of added to the charm. The whole place has this lived-in comfort that makes you feel like you’re staying somewhere real rather than some sterile chain property. With a 9.4 rating, I guess other people are picking up on the same vibe I did.
