The name sounds super modern and trendy, but when you actually get to Hurbanova street in Poprad, it feels like you’ve stumbled onto something that perfectly bridges old-school Slovak charm with genuinely smart design. I mean, Poprad isn’t exactly where you’d expect to find a place that gets the details this right, but here we are.

The building sits on this quiet residential street that’s honestly perfect if you’re planning to explore the High Tatras – you’re close enough to the action but far enough from the tourist chaos that hits the main squares during peak season. What I really appreciated was how they’ve managed to create actual apartment-style accommodations that don’t feel like someone just slapped a kitchenette into a regular hotel room. The spaces have this lived-in quality that makes you want to settle in for more than just a night or two. Plus, and this might sound silly, but the soundproofing is actually decent, which if you’ve stayed in converted buildings in this part of Slovakia, you know that’s not always a given.

The location works really well if you’re planning day trips – you can walk to the train station pretty easily, and there’s this little grocery store about two blocks away that locals actually use (not one of those overpriced tourist traps). I found myself grabbing coffee and pastries there most mornings instead of hunting down breakfast spots. The whole setup just feels more authentic than staying right in the tourist center, you know? The check-in process was smooth, the Wi-Fi actually worked consistently, and – this is going to sound weirdly specific – but the shower pressure was genuinely good, which after a day hiking around Spiš Castle or wandering through the old town, you really notice these things.
