You know what caught me off guard about Hotel Dwór Karolówka? The moment you pull up to this place in Chłabówka, you realize you’re not getting your typical mountain hotel experience. I mean, yes, it’s technically a 3-star property, but honestly – that rating system doesn’t capture what this place actually feels like. The building has this old-world manor house vibe that feels surprisingly authentic for the area, and when you’re standing on the grounds looking toward the Tatras, you get why someone thought “let’s put a hotel right here.”
The location is actually pretty clever if you know Zakopane at all. You’re far enough from the Krupówki circus to sleep peacefully (trust me, that main drag gets wild during peak season), but close enough that you’re not stuck in the middle of nowhere. What I really appreciated was the parking situation – there’s actual space for your car, which anyone who’s tried to navigate Zakopane in summer will tell you is worth its weight in gold. The staff seemed genuinely surprised when I complimented them on this, like they didn’t realize what a luxury that is around here. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward too, none of that overly formal hotel theater you sometimes get.
Here’s the thing about staying here – it feels like you’re getting insider access to the area without paying resort prices. The rooms have this comfortable, lived-in quality that reminds me more of a well-kept guesthouse than a commercial hotel. I could hear the morning birds clearly from my window, which sounds cheesy but actually made waking up pretty pleasant. The breakfast setup was solid, nothing fancy but they clearly source locally and you can taste the difference in the dairy especially. What really sold me though was chatting with other guests – you get this nice mix of Polish families who’ve been coming for years and international visitors who somehow found this place despite it not being plastered all over booking sites. That 9-point rating starts making sense when you realize people keep coming back, and honestly, after spending a few days here, I get it. It’s not trying to be the fanciest place in Zakopane, but it nails this sweet spot of being comfortable, genuine, and perfectly positioned for actually exploring the mountains instead of just Instagramming them.

The food was awwsome, super delicious. The sortiment of breakfast was huge. The spices they use make the dishes typical polish flavor. Facilities for children and adults as well like table tennis, biliard, jakuzzi, sauna, playground, etc.

Accommodation was very Nice and clean. We have also requested massages and wellness for an additional fee but it was totally worth it. Food was fine but nothing exceptional. Accommodation is not very far from Zakopane center but it is better if you have a car.

Everything. Comfortable beds, large room and bathroom. We've arrived after 22pm and the hotel called us to make sure the exactly time we would arrive because they would wait for us, even late.

Cozy and small hotel, room was small but everything what you need, receptionist was great. It was a bit hard to order food, because waiters do not speak English. Private sauna and jacuzzi was cherry on top!
