Hotel Bellavista & Spa turned out to be a pleasant discovery during my trip to Bukovel last winter. This three-star hotel is located slightly away from the main resort hustle on Staischa Street, which actually works in its favor — it’s much quieter here, especially at night when you want to sleep properly after a day on the slopes. Parking is free right by the hotel (a big plus, since there are problems with this in central Bukovel), and it’s a 10-15 minute walk to the lifts, which is quite acceptable.
The rooms are quite cozy, though not luxurious — everything necessary is there, including a mini-fridge and a decent shower with hot water. I particularly liked that the windows face the mountains, and the morning views really compensate for the simplicity of the furnishings. The spa area is small, but after a full day of skiing, the jacuzzi and sauna are exactly what you need for recovery. The staff is friendly, though reception sometimes works a bit slowly during check-in of large groups (better not to arrive on Friday evening).
Breakfast is included in the price and quite decent — there’s all the basics, plus local dishes, which is nice. The hotel operates year-round, but I’d recommend it specifically in winter for ski holidays or summer for mountain hiking. Hotel Bellavista & Spa is definitely worth the money, especially if you’re looking for a peaceful place with good value for money rather than a glamorous resort experience.
