I mean, you’re staying in what feels like a traditional chalupa (mountain cottage for those who don’t know), but you’re not roughing it – the heating works perfectly, the WiFi doesn’t cut out every five minutes, and honestly, the beds are better than most city hotels I’ve stayed in. But if you want to actually experience this part of Slovakia while staying somewhere that feels both authentic and comfortable, Chalupa Alžbetka gets it right in a way that’s honestly pretty rare these days.
