The location on Nadrzeczna street is – well, it’s one of those spots where you’re close enough to Karpacz’s main action but far enough that you’re not dealing with the tourist crowds stumbling back from dinner every night. You can actually hear the mountain streams from some of the windows, which sounds cheesy until you’re lying there at night and it’s genuinely the most peaceful thing ever.

The apartments themselves are what really sets this place apart though. Neli clearly knows what travelers actually need – not just the obvious stuff like fast WiFi and decent coffee makers, but things like proper lighting for reading, enough outlets near the bed (seriously, why don’t more places think about this?), and bathrooms with actual water pressure. The kitchens are surprisingly well-equipped too; I’m talking real knives, not those sad little butter knives most rentals give you, and enough pots and pans to actually cook a proper meal if you hit up the local market. The whole vibe is modern mountain lodge meets Scandinavian minimalism – lots of natural wood and clean lines, but it never feels cold or impersonal. Actually, the attention to detail is kind of incredible. There are local hiking maps already laid out, suggestions for restaurants written in Neli’s handwriting, and she even stocks the basics like good olive oil and decent salt, which honestly saved me a trip to the store after a long day on the trails.

What really won me over was how Neli handles the whole experience – she’s there when you need her but never hovering, and she knows Karpacz like the back of her hand. She pointed me toward this little trail that connects to the main Śnieżka route but skips the busiest section, and told me exactly when to hit the local bakery for the best selection (8 AM, by the way). The check-in was smooth, parking is actually manageable – which if you’ve driven around Karpacz during peak season, you know that’s no small thing – and the building itself is quiet. I stayed during what should have been a busy weekend in summer, and I barely heard the other guests. Look, I’ve stayed in a lot of mountain rentals over the years, and most of them either try too hard to be rustic or feel like generic city apartments dropped into a mountain town. Holiday Hill gets the balance right – it’s sophisticated without being pretentious, comfortable without being cluttered, and Neli has created something that actually enhances your time in the Karkonosze rather than just giving you a place to crash.
