Hillside VIP Residence – domki przy wyciągu – by Royal Aparts
Look, I’ve stayed at plenty of places in Karpacz over the years, but Hillside VIP Residence really caught me off guard – in the best way possible. When you first pull up to 1H Myśliwska Street, you’re thinking “okay, these are just mountain cabins,” but then you step inside one of these domki and honestly? It’s like someone took a luxury apartment and dropped it right next to the ski lift. I mean, the name literally tells you what you’re getting – these are proper residences, not hotel rooms.
What actually sold me on this place is how Royal Aparts figured out the whole ski-in situation. You know how most “close to slopes” places still require a ten-minute trudge with your gear? Not here. You can practically roll out of bed and onto the wyciąg (that’s the lift, for anyone brushing up on their Polish). The location on Myśliwska puts you right in that sweet spot where you’re close enough to hear the first lifts starting up in the morning – which is either perfect or slightly annoying depending on whether you’re an early bird. During peak season, like February and March, you’ll appreciate not having to fight through crowds of day-trippers just to get to the slopes.
The cabins themselves feel surprisingly spacious, and I love that they kept some of that traditional mountain charm while sneaking in modern touches. The kitchens are actually functional – not those token hotel kitchenettes with a mini-fridge and broken coffee maker. You can tell they designed these for people who might stay a week, not just a weekend. Parking was straightforward too, which anyone who’s driven around Karpacz during ski season will appreciate (seriously, finding a spot near Śnieżka can be a nightmare). The 8.9 rating makes total sense when you factor in that it’s basically giving you apartment-style space with hotel-level service. Only minor gripe? The walls between units could be a touch thicker – you might catch some noise from neighboring families, but nothing that ruins the experience. If you’re planning a proper ski trip and want somewhere that feels like home base rather than just a place to crash, this is definitely worth the splurge over those cookie-cutter hotels down in the village center.
