Hata Hutsula turned out to be a real gem in Mykulychyn — a four-star hotel that genuinely feels like an authentic Hutsul house, just with all modern amenities. Located at Uchastok Gorby 103a, this hotel is perfect for those who want to experience the authentic Carpathian atmosphere without giving up comfort. Parking is free and right by the hotel (which is very convenient after a long drive through mountain serpentines), and the staff during check-in tells you not only about the hotel, but also about the best local hiking routes.
The rooms are decorated in traditional Hutsul style — wooden furniture, bright carpets, but with everything you need: quality bedding, hot shower, and even a mini-fridge. In the morning you wake up to birdsong rather than city noise, which is therapeutic in itself. Breakfasts here are homemade — borscht, syrniki, local sausages, and all of this on a terrace with mountain views. In summer you can enjoy the coolness of mountain air, and in winter — the coziness by the fireplace after a day on the slopes.
The hotel has an 8.0 rating, and it’s well deserved. Hata Hutsula is not just a place to sleep, but a real experience of immersion into Hutsul culture. The owners know tons of stories about local traditions and are always ready to advise where to go on excursions or where to buy the best Hutsul cheese. The only downside — in autumn it can be a bit damp (it’s the mountains after all), but that’s more a feature of the climate than a hotel problem.
