Guesthouse Karpaty turned out to be a real gem in Yasinya — a place that immediately feels like home. This four-star establishment is located on Ulitsa Borkanyuka 159, slightly off the main road, which is actually wonderful (less noise from cars). The hosts are very friendly, and you can immediately tell they genuinely care about their guests. Check-in was quick — they even offered us tea with homemade honey while processing the paperwork.
The rooms are cozy and clean, with mountain views (if you’re lucky with windows facing the right direction). Internet works well, which is important if you need to quickly look up something about routes. Breakfasts are homemade — borscht, syrniki, smoked trout — everything you want after a long journey to the mountains. Parking is right next to the building, which is convenient, especially in winter. By the way, it’s particularly beautiful here in winter — you can just sit by the fireplace and watch the snow-covered peaks.
As for location — it’s about fifteen minutes walk to the center of Yasinya, about an hour’s drive to the Dragobrat ski lift. The hosts gladly share information about local trails and can arrange transfers if needed. The only downside — the walls are a bit thin, so if neighbors are noisy, you might hear them (but we were lucky with quiet neighbors). Overall, Guesthouse Karpaty is the kind of place you want to return to, especially if you love authentic Carpathian atmosphere without unnecessary pretension.
