Guest House Magnat turned out to be a real gem in the village of Verkhne-Studeny — a place I’d return to without hesitation. This four-star guesthouse is located in picturesque mountain countryside, and from the first glance it’s clear that they care about every detail here. The staff welcomed me like an old friend, quickly handled check-in (even a bit earlier than official time), and the owners told me about the best local hiking routes. Parking is free and spacious — important when you’re driving up from the city.
The rooms here are really thoughtfully designed: comfortable beds, hot shower works perfectly, and the window opens to views of forests and mountains that are especially beautiful early in the morning. Soundproofing is excellent — even when the neighboring family returned late in the evening, I didn’t hear anything. WiFi is fast throughout the property (I checked — it even works well in the garden). Breakfasts are homemade and hearty: fresh eggs, homemade cheese, aromatic bread and coffee that really energizes you before mountain walks.
The location is perfect for those seeking peace away from city hustle, but at the same time wanting access to active recreation. The nearest hiking trails are literally a few minutes’ walk, and if you drive, you can reach the region’s bigger attractions in half an hour. In winter it’s probably magical here (judging from photos in the lobby), and in summer there’s perfect coolness after a hot day. The owners of Guest House Magnat have created an atmosphere where you feel at home, just with much better views outside the window.
