Guculka turned out to be a pleasant surprise during our Carpathian trip! This three-star hotel sits right on Svobody Street, and while I initially worried about road noise, it was actually quiet — especially in the evenings. Parking is free (rare for central Yaremche), but spots are limited, so better arrive before 6 PM. The reception staff speaks English, which helped with getting hiking maps for the surrounding area.
The rooms aren’t luxurious, but everything you need is there — clean bedding, hot water around the clock, and even the mini-fridge worked like clockwork. Wi-Fi signal is strong even on the third floor. Breakfast is simple but tasty: homemade syrniki, scrambled eggs, coffee from a machine (not the best, but drinkable). What impressed me most was the mountain view from the window — especially beautiful in autumn when the leaves turn yellow.
The location is perfect for walks: about 15 minutes on foot to Probiy Waterfall, and just 5 minutes to the souvenir market. The hosts gave useful route advice and even arranged transfer to the ski lift (for an extra fee, but convenient). Overall, for the money, Guculka is a solid choice — especially if you plan to actively explore the region rather than hang around the hotel.
