You know what caught me off guard about Gosen Apartaments? I was expecting just another decent place to crash in Sîngeorz-Băi, but honestly, this spot feels more like staying at a friend’s really well-designed apartment than a typical hotel. The location on Strada Republicii is actually perfect – you’re right in the heart of things but not dealing with crazy traffic noise, which is saying something since this is one of the main streets through town.

The apartments themselves are what really impressed me. I mean, when you see a 9.8 rating, you sort of wonder if it’s too good to be true, but the attention to detail here is genuine. The kitchens are actually functional (not just a mini-fridge and a prayer), and the living spaces feel like someone put real thought into how people actually live, not just sleep. What I loved most was how quiet it gets at night – Sîngeorz-Băi isn’t exactly a party town, but even the street sounds just fade away once you’re inside. The whole building has this solid, well-maintained feel that you don’t always get with newer places.

Here’s the thing about staying here – you’re positioned perfectly for exploring the thermal baths area without being right on top of all the spa crowds. Walking to the main thermal complex takes maybe five minutes, but you can also wander the other direction toward the older part of town where locals actually hang out. Parking was surprisingly stress-free (there’s dedicated spots, which anyone who’s driven around Romanian town centers will appreciate), and the check-in process was refreshingly straightforward. The staff actually knows the area well too – they pointed me toward this little hiking trail that starts just behind the old railway station that I never would have found otherwise. I’d definitely come back here, especially if I wanted to do a proper thermal spa weekend without paying resort prices. It’s the kind of place where you can settle in for a few days and actually feel like you’re experiencing the town, not just passing through it.
