You know what surprised me most about Górskie Szczyty Apart & SPA? It’s tucked away on Żeromskiego street, which honestly feels like a bit of a discovery since most tourists stick to the main Krupówki strip. I mean, you’re still close enough to walk to all the action – maybe ten minutes to the heart of Zakopane – but you actually get some peace and quiet here, which is pretty rare in this town during peak season.

The whole setup is exactly what the ridiculously long name promises (and yes, the parking really is included, which anyone who’s tried to find a spot near the Tatra Mountains will appreciate). Apartament 10 specifically has this lovely mountain lodge vibe without feeling overly rustic – sort of modern comfort meets traditional Polish highland style. The sauna and jacuzzi situation is legit too; after spending a day hiking the trails around Gubałówka or dealing with the crowds at Morskie Oko, soaking in that jacuzzi while looking out at the peaks is honestly pretty magical. The sauna gets properly hot, not like those lukewarm disappointments you sometimes find in smaller places.

What I really liked is how the owners clearly understand what people actually need when they’re exploring this area. The apartment has proper space to spread out your hiking gear (trust me, you’ll have muddy boots and wet jackets), and the kitchen is well-equipped enough that you can cook a real meal instead of eating pierogi every single night – though let’s be honest, you probably will anyway. The location on Żeromskiego puts you within walking distance of some excellent local spots that aren’t overrun with tour groups, plus you can easily catch the bus up to Kasprowy Wierch or the cable car to Gubałówka without the hassle of driving mountain roads. The fact that this place consistently gets such high ratings (we’re talking 9 out of 10 here) makes total sense once you’ve stayed there – it’s one of those properties where someone clearly thought through what travelers actually want versus what looks good in photos. The mountain views from the right windows are spectacular, especially in the morning when the light hits the Tatras just right, and surprisingly, the street noise isn’t bad at all despite being in town.
