What I really appreciated was how the owners clearly put thought into the small stuff that matters when you’re actually living somewhere for a few days. The apartment had this lived-in feel (in a good way) – proper blackout curtains for those summer nights when the sun doesn’t set until after 8 PM, a kitchen that’s actually equipped for cooking real meals instead of just heating up instant noodles, and decent Wi-Fi that didn’t cut out every time someone in the building turned on their TV. You know what really sold me though? The bathroom actually had water pressure. I mean, after staying in some of those charming but ancient guesthouses closer to the center where the shower feels like a gentle mist, this was basically luxury. The whole place stays surprisingly quiet too – I was worried about noise since it’s right off the road, but the windows do their job, and honestly, there’s not much traffic on that stretch anyway except for locals heading up to Antałówkę.

The location is sort of perfect if you want to feel like you’re staying where actual people live rather than in tourist land. There’s a little grocery store about a five-minute walk away (which you’ll definitely need since restaurants in Zakopane can get pricey fast), and you’re positioned really well for hiking – the trails up toward Gubałówka are practically on your doorstep. Parking was never an issue, which anyone who’s driven in Zakopane’s center will tell you is basically a miracle. The 7-star rating feels about right – it’s not fancy, and the decor is pretty basic, but everything works, it’s clean, and the price point makes sense. I’d definitely stay here again, especially if I was planning to spend most of my time outdoors anyway. Just don’t expect concierge service or fancy toiletries – this is more like borrowing a friend’s apartment, which honestly is exactly what you want sometimes.
