I wasn’t sure what to expect when I first pulled up to Górski Domek koło Karpacza on Sosnowa Street – honestly, the name’s a bit of a mouthful if you don’t speak Polish, but locals just call it “the mountain house.” The thing is, this little gem sits tucked away in one of those quiet residential streets that feels like you’ve stumbled onto something the guidebooks haven’t caught onto yet. And with a 9.1 rating, I mean, there’s clearly something special happening here.
The apartment setup is actually perfect if you’re tired of cramped hotel rooms where you can’t even open your suitcase properly. These folks have figured out that travelers – especially families or couples staying more than a night or two – want space to actually live a little. The kitchen isn’t just for show either; I ended up cooking breakfast most mornings because there’s something satisfying about making coffee while looking out at the Sudeten foothills. The owners have this low-key approach that I really appreciated – they’re around if you need anything, but they’re not hovering or trying to upsell you on tours every five minutes. Parking’s straightforward too, which honestly matters more than people realize when you’re dealing with mountain town logistics.
What really sold me on this place was how it positions you for exploring Karpacz without being right in the tourist chaos. You’re close enough to walk into town when you want that resort vibe – the cable car up to Śnieżka isn’t far, and neither are all those hiking trails if you’re into that sort of thing. But when evening rolls around and the day-trippers head home, you get to retreat to this peaceful spot where the loudest sound might be wind through the pine trees. I stayed in late September, and the combination of crisp mountain air and that cozy apartment feeling made it hard to leave. The whole setup just works – it’s like borrowing a friend’s mountain place, except everything’s actually clean and functional, and you don’t owe anyone any favors afterward.

What could be improved: There was no sunshades to the windows and if you have children they will be at 5:30 awake.

The place is beautiful the house is big enough and well equipped.
What could be improved: The path to the house was slippery. You need to pickup keys in another place, 5km from the house. It was windy and the snow was falling from the trees and the sound was really scarry, seemed like the house was made from the paper.

Mam duże doświadczenie w wynajmie apartamentów czy lokali. I tu wielkie zaskoczenie. Apartament dopięty na ostatni guzik. Byliśmy tam przez prawie tydzień i będziemy miło wspominać pobyt. Apartament wyposażony jak nie jeden hotel pięciogwiazdkowy. Wyobraźcie sobie ze jest nawet trzepaczka do jajek jest w szufladzie. Drewno do kominka i sam kominek robi furorę po intensywnym dniu na stokach. Szczerze polecam a nie zawiedziecie się.

Domek bardzo ładnie położony, parking dostępny bez problemu. Dwie ładne i czyste łazienki. Pokoje w fajnym klimacie, czyste w pełni wyposażone. Każdy miał dwa ręczniki do dyspozycji. W łazienkach płyn do kąpieli w razie jakby ktoś zapomniał. W górnej łazience była nawet pralka. Na dole duża przestrzeń wspólna. Bardzo dużo miejsca dla 8 osób. Bardzo fajne miejsce. Ogrzewanie podłogowe na parterze, przez co bardzo miłe odczucia, szczególnie po powrocie z gór zimą 😁 z tarasu piękny widok na góry.
What could be improved: Kontakt z właścicielami był utrudniony. Chcieliśmy skorzystać z możliwości przedłużenia doby odpłatnie. Podjęliśmy próbę kontaktu telefonicznego i sms dzień przed końcem pobytu około godziny 20 (wcześniej nie wiedzieliśmy, że będzie taka potrzeba). Niestety bez odpowiedzi do dnia następnego do godziny 10, czyli godziny końca naszej rezerwacji.

Domek bardzo czysty. Pięknie położony. Duży - byliśmy w 2 rodziny i każdy miał wystarczająco dużo przestrzeni. Fajny salon z jadalnią. 2 łazienki <3
What could be improved: Jakbym miała się czepiać - strasznie skrzypi podłoga na piętrze. Polecam brać zatyczki do uszu jeśli ktoś lubi długo spać :)

Die Lage ist für die Reisenden, die dem Trubel von Karpacz entkommen wollen und die Ruhe nah der Natur genießen möchten, perfekt. Man ist aber auf ein Auto angewiesen.
