Winter’s a different story obviously, but in a good way. The staff here gets it – they’re not hovering, but they know the area inside and out. Asked about a decent spot for dinner that wasn’t crawling with tourists, and got pointed toward this place in Poronin village that I never would’ve found otherwise. Check-in was smooth, none of that waiting around while they figure out their system. Sure, you’re paying a bit more than your average Zakopane hotel, but honestly? For what you get – the space, the location, the actual peace and quiet – it feels about right. Just don’t expect resort-style amenities; this is more about having your own little mountain retreat that happens to come with really good service.
