Golden Palace turned out to be a pleasant surprise during my trip to Dubove. This three-star hotel is located on Gagarina Street — a fairly quiet part of town where you can sleep peacefully even with the windows open. Parking there is free, which is rare for hotels of this level, and there are always enough spaces (at least in autumn when I was there). Check-in went smoothly, the staff is friendly, though not everyone speaks English — but that’s not a problem if you know basic Ukrainian.
The rooms are quite spacious, especially for a Golden Palace of this category. The furniture is a bit dated, but everything is clean and functional. WiFi works stably throughout the hotel, which was important for my work. Breakfast is typical continental fare, nothing special, but solid. The coffee is decent, though real coffee enthusiasts might want to walk to the center of Dubove for a better option. By the way, the center is about 15 minutes on foot from here — quite convenient for walks.
What I particularly liked was the price-to-quality ratio. For the money I paid, I got a clean, comfortable room, decent service, and a peaceful location. The hotel doesn’t pretend to be luxurious, but it performs its role excellently. There’s always hot water, the air conditioning works (important in summer), and overall you can feel that the owners care about their reputation. I’d come back here again if I’m in the area — especially for this price.
