Gogodz Chalet Resort turned out to be a pleasant surprise during our Carpathian trip last March. This four-star hotel is located right in Yablunytsya on Horishkiv Street — quite a quiet spot, though you can sometimes hear sounds from the main road, especially in the morning. Parking is free and fairly spacious, which is important when you arrive in your own car with skis and other equipment.
The building itself has genuine mountain charm — wooden elements, cozy corners with a fireplace in the lobby where we often sat in the evenings with hot tea. The rooms are clean and comfortable, though a bit compact (but that’s normal for a mountain hotel). Windows face the mountains, and the view is truly impressive, especially at sunrise. The staff is friendly, though not everyone speaks English — but this even adds to the authenticity. Check-in went smoothly, around 2:30 PM, without delays.
Breakfasts are homemade and hearty — lots of local products, fresh bread, mountain cheese. You can drive to the ski lifts in 10-15 minutes, or the hotel can arrange a transfer (better to clarify in advance). It’s especially cozy here in winter, but I heard that summer is wonderful too — you can go hiking right from the hotel. Overall, for the money we paid, it was very decent.
Bukovel hotels range from luxurious mountain resorts to cozy lodges with breathtaking views of snow-capped peaks and alpine meadows.
