Glanz Cottage turned out to be a real gem for our Carpathian trip! This three-star hotel is located on Peremohy Street, literally a five-minute walk from Yaremche center. When we arrived in the evening after a long drive, the hosts welcomed us very warmly — they even helped carry our luggage (which was especially nice after walking up a small slope). Parking is free, though there aren’t that many spots, so it’s better not to arrive too late.
The rooms are compact but thoughtfully designed down to the smallest details. We had a room with a mountain view — let me tell you, morning coffee on the little balcony with that scenery is worth it! The plumbing worked without complaints, hot water was always available, Wi-Fi worked even on the third floor. Breakfasts are homemade and hearty (I especially recommend trying the local syrnyky), though the menu isn’t very diverse — but for a mountain hotel, that’s perfectly normal. It’s a bit odd that the hotel still doesn’t have air conditioning, it can get hot in summer, but open windows and mountain air compensate for this.
The location is perfect for an active vacation — it’s about 15 minutes by car to the Bukovel lift, and you can walk to Probiy and Zhenetsky waterfalls in 20 minutes. The hosts gladly share information about local routes and can even arrange transfers (for an additional fee, but inexpensive). The staff speaks Ukrainian and English, which is convenient for foreign guests. Overall, for this price and an 8.0 rating — it’s a wonderful option for those seeking coziness without unnecessary frills and wanting to experience genuine Carpathian hospitality.
Travelers should book a hotel in Bukovel at least two months ahead for major events such as ski competitions and mountain festivals, ensuring the best rates and prime locations near popular mountain attractions.
