Girske Povitria Apartments became a real discovery for me during my last trip to the Carpathians. Located on Svobody Street, these four-star apartments turned out to be the perfect place for a vacation in Yaremche. Actually, the location itself is one of the biggest advantages: just a few minutes’ walk to the city center, but far enough from the main tourist noise. Parking is free right next to the building (which is highly valued in Yaremche, especially during the season), and check-in goes smoothly — the hosts are very friendly and always ready to help with advice on routes.
The apartments themselves exceeded my expectations. The rooms are spacious, with modern renovation, but without that intrusive “hotel” style — more like staying at a good friend’s place. The kitchen is fully equipped (I even cooked breakfasts with local products from the market), WiFi works stably, and the windows offer a wonderful view of the mountains. The nighttime silence is particularly impressive — no foreign sounds, just the sound of a river somewhere nearby. There’s air conditioning, though even without it, it’s cool in summer thanks to the mountain air. The owners clearly care about details: towels are soft, bed linen is quality, and the bathroom always has hot water and everything necessary.
What I especially liked is the balance between comfort and authenticity. You get all the amenities of a modern hotel, but stay in an atmosphere of genuine Hutsul hospitality. The hosts told us about the best routes to waterfalls (Probiy is right nearby!), recommended where to eat well, and even helped organize transportation to the ski lift. The price is absolutely reasonable for this level of service — I paid less than I expected for a four-star hotel. We’ll definitely return here, and I’ve already recommended this place to several friends.
