Girska Khatynka is a real gem right in the heart of Slavske! When I first saw this four-star hotel on Sichovykh Striltsiv Street 11b, I immediately knew it would be cozy. The building is small but very charming — a true mountain cottage, just like the name suggests. The reception staff welcomed me very warmly (although check-in is standard at 2:00 PM, but if you arrive earlier, they might find you an available room). Parking is free right next to the hotel, which is a big advantage for Slavske, especially in winter when you need to quickly warm up your car before heading to the ski slopes.
The rooms are quite spacious and clean, with nice mountain views — I stayed on the second floor and enjoyed the scenery from my window every morning. Breakfasts are tasty, though the menu isn’t very diverse (typical Ukrainian cuisine, but well-prepared). WiFi works reliably even on the upper floors. The only thing that might be slightly bothersome is road noise in the morning when buses with tourists start running, but this is more a feature of the location rather than a hotel flaw. In winter it’s especially cozy here — there’s a fireplace in the lobby where it’s pleasant to sit in the evening with hot tea after a day on the slopes.
It’s a 10-15 minute walk to the lifts, which is quite normal for Slavske. The 8.0 out of 10 rating is well-deserved because the price-quality ratio here is very good. Girska Khatynka works well for both a romantic weekend and a family vacation. The staff is always ready to suggest where to ski or eat in town, which is very valuable for those visiting Slavske for the first time.
