The building looks almost residential, tucked away on this quiet street that most tourists probably walk right past on their way to the castle chaos.

But here’s the thing about staying slightly off the main drag in Sinaia – you actually get to breathe. The apartments themselves are surprisingly spacious, and I’m talking about real living space, not those cramped hotel rooms where you’re bumping into furniture every five minutes. The kitchen setup is decent enough that you could actually cook something more ambitious than instant coffee (though let’s be honest, who travels to Romania to spend time cooking?). What really sold me was the morning routine – you can sit with your coffee and watch the locals heading to work while the tour buses are still figuring out where to park downtown. The soundproofing is solid too, which matters more than you’d think when you’re trying to sleep off a day of hiking in the Carpathians.

The staff running this place genuinely seem to care about what they’re doing, which – honestly – you don’t always get at three-star properties. They’ll tell you about the hiking trails that don’t show up on Google Maps, or which train times actually work if you’re planning a day trip to Brasov. That 9.2 rating isn’t just people being nice; it’s because they’ve figured out the small stuff that makes a difference. Like having proper hangers in the closets, or towels that don’t feel like sandpaper, or wi-fi that works even when half of Sinaia’s tourists are trying to upload their Peles Castle photos. The location means you’re walking distance to everything that matters – the castle, the monastery, those little restaurants where locals actually eat – but you’re not paying tourist-trap prices for a bed that’s literally on the main street. I’d definitely book this again, especially if I was planning to stick around Sinaia for more than just a quick castle visit. It’s the kind of place where you can actually settle in for a few days without feeling like you’re camping out in a hotel room.
