Here’s the thing about staying in Sibiu’s Old Town – parking can be an absolute nightmare, especially during summer when the festivals are going full swing. Filek House actually helps you figure this out instead of just shrugging and pointing you toward some overpriced garage across town. The whole area gets pretty lively in the evenings (in a good way), but the rooms are quiet enough that you won’t be kept awake by drunk tourists stumbling around at 2 AM. I stayed there in late spring, and mornings were perfect for grabbing coffee at one of the little cafes nearby before the day-trippers arrived. The Council Tower is basically around the corner, and you can hit all the main sights without ever needing a taxi or dealing with public transport. That 9.2 rating makes total sense to me – it’s not trying to be fancy, but it nails all the basics while giving you a genuine taste of staying in one of Romania’s most beautiful medieval towns. If you’re looking for a place that feels authentic without sacrificing comfort, and you want to actually experience Sibiu rather than just pass through it, this is honestly a solid choice.
