Fazenda Kosiv turned out to be a pleasant surprise during our trip to Hutsul region. This three-star hotel is located on a quiet street in the center of Kosiv, and from the doorstep you feel a special atmosphere — a bit like a family estate where you’re genuinely welcome. The staff here is truly friendly, not just polite by instruction. Check-in went smoothly (we arrived around three in the afternoon), and they immediately told us about the most interesting places in the area. The rooms are small but cozy, with wooden decorative elements — very much in the spirit of the region. Wi-Fi works stably, which is important if you need to stay connected.
Breakfast is served until ten in the morning, and it’s real Hutsul cuisine — not tourist stylization, but what locals actually eat. I especially liked the syrnyky with homemade cheese and their own homemade jam. From our room window there was a wonderful view of the mountains, especially beautiful in the morning when the fog hadn’t lifted yet. Parking is right by the hotel — free, which is very convenient because in downtown Kosiv this can be problematic. The only thing that was a bit bothersome — the neighboring room was quite audible, especially in the evening when people returned from walks and actively discussed their impressions.
Overall, Fazenda Kosiv is a place you want to return to. The hotel operates year-round, but the owners said it’s best here in autumn when the surrounding forests become incredibly colorful. Prices are reasonable for this level of service, and the location is ideal for exploring the city on foot — five minutes to the market, not far to the folk art museum either. I recommend it if you’re looking for an authentic experience rather than hotel standardization.
