Eco House Butinar Overview
Eco House Butinar turned out to be a real discovery for me — a three-star hotel that exceeded all my expectations. Located on Goryshnya Street in the picturesque village of Kosmach, this place is perfect for those seeking an authentic Hutsul experience without unnecessary pretension. The hosts welcomed me very warmly, although check-in started a bit later than the stated time — but that’s a minor thing when you see such genuine hospitality. Parking is free right at the entrance, which is very convenient, especially if you arrive with luggage.
The rooms truly live up to the eco-concept: natural materials, handmade wooden furniture, and overall such an atmosphere of cozy simplicity that you immediately feel at home. Wi-Fi works stably, though the speed isn’t cosmic — but does that really matter surrounded by such mountains? Breakfast is served in a common dining room with a view of the valley, and I must say the homemade cheeses and jams are simply outstanding. The only thing worth knowing — the walls aren’t very thick, so if neighbors are active, you can hear their conversations (luckily, I had quiet neighbors).
What I particularly enjoyed was the location for mountain hiking and the proximity to local workshops where you can watch carvers at work. It’s especially beautiful here in autumn when the leaves turn yellow and light fog spreads in the mornings. The 8.0 rating is well deserved — for this price and in such a location, it’s really a good choice. I’d come back here again, maybe even in winter when there’s snow all around.
