The 4-star rating feels about right; everything works properly, it’s clean and well-maintained, but you’re not paying for unnecessary bells and whistles. What I really liked was how quiet it gets in the evenings. Kościelisko doesn’t have that party-town energy of central Zakopane, so you actually get to hear the mountains settling down for the night. The rating of 8 out of 10 makes sense to me – it delivers exactly what it promises without any nasty surprises, and honestly, that view never gets old. If you’re planning to spend your days exploring the Tatras and want somewhere that feels like a proper retreat rather than just a place to crash, this works really well. Just don’t expect to walk to restaurants – you’ll want a car to get around this area, but that’s pretty much standard for anywhere in the Podhale region that’s worth staying.
