The location puts you within easy walking distance of the cable car stations and the main pedestrian area, but you’re just far enough removed that you’re not dealing with crowds of day-trippers right outside your window. I actually ended up extending my stay an extra night because, well, when you find a place that just works this well, why mess with it? The 9-star rating it’s got isn’t just because people are being generous – it’s because they’ve managed to nail that sweet spot between comfort and authenticity that’s surprisingly hard to find in mountain towns these days.
