Домик в горах is a real gem for those seeking coziness among the Carpathian peaks. This four-star hotel is located in the resort village of Voеvodino, and I can say that it’s hard to imagine a better place for a mountain getaway. When I arrived here in autumn, the first thing that struck me was the incredible view from the window of the golden mountain slopes and that special mountain scent in the air. The staff greeted me very warmly, check-in was quick (even though I arrived a bit earlier than standard time), and they immediately told me about all the recreational opportunities in the area.
The rooms here are truly cozy — you feel at home, but with that special mountain atmosphere. I had a room with a balcony, and morning coffee there became a real ritual throughout my stay. The furniture is wooden, everything is thoughtfully designed down to the smallest details, there’s a mini-fridge and kettle (which is very convenient after long walks). WiFi works steadily, though honestly, here you want to disconnect from the internet and enjoy nature. There are no parking problems — they have their own area for cars, which is important because mountain roads aren’t always predictable.
What particularly impressed me was the hotel restaurant and the opportunities for active recreation. The cuisine is homestyle, delicious, with an emphasis on local products (definitely try their dumplings with mushrooms!). In winter there are excellent conditions for skiing, and in summer — plenty of hiking trails. The hosts know all the best paths and eagerly share advice. Of course, this isn’t five-star luxury with a spa center, but the 8.0 rating is well-deserved — there’s that genuine hospitality and authenticity that can’t be faked. I would definitely return here, especially in winter when the mountains are covered with snow.
