You know what caught me off guard about Domek w Rudawach? I honestly wasn’t expecting much from what looked like just another mountain cottage rental, but this place in Karpniki actually turned out to be one of those hidden gems that makes you want to keep it secret from other travelers. The moment you pull up to 27 Rudawska Street, you realize you’re not just staying somewhere – you’re stepping into what feels like a local’s perfectly curated mountain retreat.
The thing about Karpniki is that most people just pass through on their way to the bigger Sudeten peaks, but staying here puts you right in the sweet spot of the Rudawy Janowickie range without the crowds you’d get closer to Szklarska Poręba. The cottage itself has this authentic Polish highland vibe that doesn’t feel forced or touristy – I mean, you can tell someone actually lives and breathes this mountain lifestyle rather than just decorating for Airbnb photos. The wood smells real (not that fake cabin scent), and honestly, the morning light streaming through those windows while you’re having coffee is worth the drive alone. What really impressed me was how quiet it gets at night – like, properly quiet, not “city person thinks this is quiet” quiet. You’ll actually hear the wind moving through the trees, which sounds cheesy but trust me on this one.
Parking’s straightforward, which matters more than you’d think when you’re hauling hiking gear and groceries up a mountain road. The hosts clearly know what they’re doing – check-in was smooth, they gave me actual useful local tips (not just generic tourist stuff), and the 9.8 rating makes total sense once you settle in. If you’re planning to explore the Sudeten trails, this spot gives you easy access without the premium prices you’d pay closer to the main tourist centers. Fair warning though – once you experience how good the stargazing is from here on a clear night, you might find yourself extending your stay. The only minor thing I’d mention is that cell service can be spotty, but honestly, that ended up being more of a feature than a bug for me.

Lage mit Naturkulisse, traumhafter Aussicht und Umgebung. Das Ferienhaus ist modern und komfortabel ausgestattet, einfach schön! Die Umgebung kann man gut ohne Autofahrt erwandern, nur zur Schneekoppe und nach Jelena Gora nutzten wir unseren PKW. In der Nähe gibt eine Einkaufsmöglichkeit und auch die nette kleine Gastronomie Karioka. Auf den Wanderungen konnten wir auch gut einkehren, z B im Palace Wojanow.
What could be improved: Nichts Negatives. 6 von 5 Sternen! Wir kommen wieder.

Nowy domek, wszystko dopracowane, czysto, komfortowo, spokój, cisza, idealne miejsce na wypoczynek, ognisko, grill, duży ogród, widok na Krzyżną Górę, idealne miejsce na wypad w Rudawy Janowickie, właściciel bardzo miły uprzejmy pozwolił nam na zakwaterowanie dodatkowo jednej osoby i psa bez dopłaty. Niema tu problemu z późniejszym wykwaterowaniem i zmianą terminu przyjazdu.

lokalizacja wspaniała, duża przestrzeń koło domku, miejsce na ognisko, i co najważniejsze WIDOK z okien, przepiękny! Nocą gwiazdy, w dzień piękny krajobraz - rewelacja!
What could be improved: WI-FI - bardzo słabe, choć w takim miejscu może to plus ;)

Das Häuschen war sauber und super ausgestattet. Von der Rückseite hatten wir einen herrlichen Blick auf die Berge. Es war alles vorhanden was man braucht. Der Gastgeber war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.
What could be improved: Es gibt nichts was man kritisieren könnte.

Domek jest pięknie zlokalizowany, z widokiem na Rudawy Janowickie. Dzięki ogromnemu przeszkleniu można podziwiać ten widok cały czas - po obudzeniu się czy przyrządzając posiłek. Super przestrzeń wokół domu - wygodne meble ogrodowe, miejsce na ognisko i grill gazowy i trampolina. Właściciele są pomocni, reagowali na wszystkie nasze uwagi. Widać że domek jest nowy, dosłownie pachnący świeżością :) Bardzo ładnie wykończony.
What could be improved: Brakuje drobnych udogodnień, takich jak ścierka kuchenna czy ręcznik łazienkowy na stopy, naczynie żaroodporne - aby wykorzystać w pełni super piekarnik (pożyczyliśmy od właścicieli), albo tylko 1 kosz w środku mimo segregacji na 5 typów.
To jednak tylko drobne niedogodności, które nie wpłynęły na jakość naszego wypoczynku :)

Super gospodarz o wszystko zadbał i był dostępny, mieszka w budynku obok. Na miejscu można było zrobić ognisko, drewno od gospodarza. Blisko do wielu atrakcji, na miejscu cisza, spokój i piękne widoki!
