Overview
Honestly, when I first pulled up to Domek Rogata Chata Deluxe on Rysulówka street, I wasn’t sure what to expect – the name alone is quite a mouthful, and finding it tucked away in Kościelisko felt like discovering a local secret. But you know what? Sometimes the best places are the ones that don’t scream for attention from the main road.
This place has that rare quality where it actually feels more special than its four-star rating suggests. I mean, the building itself has this charming mountain lodge character that fits perfectly with the whole Tatra foothills vibe, but someone clearly put serious thought into the details. The rooms have that deluxe touch without being stuffy – think quality linens and thoughtful amenities rather than generic hotel furniture. What really got me was how quiet it stays at night, which isn’t always guaranteed in these mountain towns when you’re dealing with weekend crowds from Kraków. The owners seem to understand that people come here to actually rest, not just crash between hiking trips.
The location is honestly perfect if you know the area – Rysulówka puts you close enough to the action in Zakopane (maybe 15 minutes by car) but far enough from the tourist chaos that you can actually enjoy your morning coffee in peace. There’s decent parking, which anyone who’s tried to navigate Zakopane’s streets during peak season will appreciate. I found myself walking to some of the local trails right from the property, and the staff actually gave me solid recommendations for lesser-known spots rather than just pointing me toward the crowded cable car lines. That 9-point rating makes sense when you experience the whole package – it’s not just about the rooms (though those are great), it’s about feeling like you’re staying somewhere that genuinely cares about your experience rather than just checking boxes on a hospitality checklist.

The kitchen is very well equipped. A lot of plates and cups for a huge family dinner.
Additional blankets and bed sheets were provided. We were also able to get additional cleaning in the middle of our stay upon our request.
The house is superb, spaceous, modern, with all you need in it.
The accommodation was exceptional! The place is brand new and has amazing attention to details and design - the interior is very mountain-friendly and well thought out. There are heavy blinds (the metal ones) on the main floor and bottom floor in case people sleeping want to hibernate :D In the bedrooms upstairs, the blinds are thinner so it gets bright early in the morning - which is not a bad thing when you are in the mountains for hiking and other adventures! The owners were extremely helpful and responded quickly to any questions we had. We arrived very late in the night and the keys are in a lockbox so no need to stress or worry about not being able to check-in after a certain hour.
The entertainment setup (huge TV's in all the rooms and especially huge one in the bottom floor) is amazing in case of some rainy days or if you want to curl up and watch some TV or a movie. Also, there are 2 full bathrooms with nice showers and amenities. Overall, we felt super comfortable at the house - kitchen was fully stocked and had appliances as well - we cooked several meals at the house, including using the grill outside on the back terrace which was an added bonus.
The property also has an ideal location - not far from Zakopane but far enough that you find peace and quiet.
We were about 5 minute drive (or ~35 minute walk) to the trailhead for the Koscielisko Valley - a beautiful hike in the Tatras with lots of caves to explore if you wish; and the accommodation is about 10 minute drive to Zakopane in case you are looking for more activities.

Wystarczająca ilość talerzy i innych naczyń.
Chcemy jeszcze raz wrócić do apartamentu.
