You know what? I’ve stayed in a lot of mountain retreats over the years, but Domek Relaks pod Śnieżką actually lives up to its name – and that 9.7 rating isn’t inflated marketing nonsense. The place sits on Witka street in Miłków, which honestly sounds like nothing special until you realize you’re basically nestled right in the shadow of Śnieżka peak. I mean, the name literally translates to “Relaxation House under Śnieżka,” and they weren’t kidding around.
The thing that got me right away was how quiet it gets here in the evenings – you’re close enough to hiking trails that you can hear your own thoughts, but not so isolated that you feel cut off from civilization. The owners clearly know their stuff when it comes to what tired hikers actually want. My room had this perfect view where I could see the mountain ridges from bed (which, let’s be honest, is exactly what you want after a day of climbing). The whole setup feels more like staying at a friend’s well-appointed cabin than some sterile hotel room. Parking was straightforward too – no hunting around narrow village streets wondering if you’re about to scrape your rental car.
What really sets this place apart is the attention to those little details that make or break a mountain stay. The heating actually works properly (crucial in this part of the Sudetes), the beds are firm enough that you don’t wake up feeling like you wrestled a bear, and – this might sound silly – but the water pressure in the shower is fantastic. After spending days hiking around Karkonosze National Park, you want a shower that can actually wash the trail dust off. The check-in process was refreshingly human too; no corporate scripts, just genuine local recommendations about which trails to hit and where to grab decent pierogi in town. I stayed during shoulder season in late spring, and while it wasn’t packed, you could tell this place fills up fast during peak hiking months. If you’re planning a serious assault on the Sudetes peaks or just want somewhere that feels authentically Polish without the tourist trap pricing, this is your spot. It’s the kind of place where you actually sleep well and wake up excited to explore, rather than spending your vacation recovering from your accommodation.

Es handelt sich bei dieser Unterkunft um ein sehr modernes, liebevoll eingerichtetes Ferienhaus, das keine Wünsche offen lässt. Die Zimmer sind, wie auf den Bildern dargestellt, hell und geräumig. Die Zimmer im Obergeschoss sind zusätzlich noch mit einem kleinen Tisch und vier Stühlen ausgestattet. Jedes Schlafzimmer verfügt über mindestens einen Kleiderschrank und einen eigenen Fernseher.
Die Küche lässt nichts zu wünschen übrig und macht eine Selbstverpflegung problemlos möglich. Lediglich an Geschirrtüchern und Geschirrspülmaschinentabs sollte man denken. Eine Kaffeemaschine ist ebenfalls vorhanden. Die Küche ist mit dem Wohnzimmer verbunden, sodass dieser Bereich des Ferienhauses während unseres Aufenthalts mit sieben Personen und einem Baby einen super Mittelpunkt dargestellt hat.
Die Badezimmer sind ebenfalls sehr modern. Insgesamt verfügt das Ferienhaus über zwei Badezimmer mit jeweils einer Dusche und Toilette sowie über ein Gästebad mit einer Toilette.
Das gesamte Ferienhaus ist mit Fußbodenheizungen ausgestattet, die für jeden Raum individuell eingestellt werden können. Auch in puncto Sauberkeit lässt sich nichts bemängeln.
Der Vermieter ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Er hat immer schnell auf unsere Fragen und Nachrichten reagiert. Beispielsweise war die Gasflasche zum Grill leer. Ein kurzer Anruf, und der Vermieter hat die Gasflasche unverzüglich ausgetauscht.
Auch zur Lage lässt sich nichts Negatives sagen. Von der Terrasse aus kann man direkt auf die Schneekoppe sehen. Der Ort ist sehr ruhig. Mit dem Auto ist man schnell in den Nachbarorten Jelenia Góra oder Karpacz. Wer lieber in die Natur möchte, muss nur die Straßenseite überqueren. Restaurants in unmittelbarer Nähe sind ebenfalls vorhanden.

Krásná novostavba na klidném místě na okraji obce, s dobrou dostupností do měst jako Krajnská Gora (+-10 min.), Sklárska Poreba (+- 30 min.), Jelenní Góra (+- 20min.), k dispozici byly čtyři prostorné pokoje s možností klimatizace, plně vybavená kuchyně (myčka, automatický kávovar), základní suroviny - cukr, sůl, koření, mletá káva, dostatek nádobí, příborů, hrnců, pánviček, v technické místnosti byla pračka, sušák na prádlo, sušák na lyžáky, dětská cestovní postýlka, postele velmi pohodlné, dvě koupelny se sprchovým koutem, 3x WC, k dispozici velká osuška a malý ručník na každou ubytovanou osobu. Na terase stůl, židle, 2x lehátka, plynový gril.
What could be improved: Naší rodině scházela utěrka, ale byla zde veliká role kuchyňských papírových utěrek, tak jsme využili tyto.

Ein tolles, modernes Ferienhaus mit Blick auf die Berge. Das Grundstück ist sicher umzäunt, sodass Hunde frei im Garten laufen können. Die Ausstattung war sehr gut. Die Betten waren sehr bequem.

Очень хороший домик для остановки с семьей и с друзьями. Рядом один горнолыжный курорт - Карпатка, а в 20 км Шклярска Поремба. Вокруг тихо, спокойно, хороший вид на Снежку (когда нет тумана))). Очень чистый и уютный домик, удобные кровати. 3 санузла и 2 душа решают проблему отдыха большой компанией. В общем очень рекомендуем.
What could be improved: Дверцы холодильника надо перевесить))))))
На фото было барбекю - видно убрали на зиму, а так рассчитывали пожарить на гриле колбасок.
