Domek na Myśliwskiej z 3 sypialniami – 5D Apartments
So I ended up at this 3-bedroom apartment on Myśliwska Street in Karpacz, and honestly? It’s one of those places that grows on you. The building itself is pretty standard – you know, typical Polish mountain town architecture – but what I really appreciated was being on the first floor. No lugging suitcases up three flights after a long day hiking, which anyone who’s been to the Sudetes will tell you is a blessing.
The location is actually pretty smart if you know Karpacz at all. Myśliwska runs parallel to the main tourist drag, so you’re close enough to walk to restaurants and the cable car station, but you’re not dealing with the constant stream of tour buses and street vendors that can drive you a bit crazy on the main strip. I mean, it’s maybe a 7-minute walk to get to the heart of things, but those 7 minutes buy you a lot of peace and quiet. The apartment itself feels like someone’s actual home rather than a sterile rental – there are little touches that make it comfortable, though I’ll be honest, the kitchen could use a few more basics if you’re planning to cook much. The bedrooms are decent sized, and the windows actually open properly, which sounds trivial until you’re trying to cool down after a day on Śnieżka.
What really sold me on the place was the neighborhood vibe. You’ve got locals walking their dogs in the evening, and there’s this little bakery about two blocks down that opens ridiculously early – perfect if you’re trying to beat the crowds to the trails. The parking situation isn’t terrible either, which anyone who’s driven through Karpacz during peak season will appreciate. Look, it’s not going to win any design awards, and the Wi-Fi can be spotty when everyone’s streaming at once, but there’s something refreshingly unpretentious about it. It feels like staying at a friend’s place rather than a hotel, complete with the slightly quirky shower pressure and the way the floorboards creak just a little when you walk around at night. For a base camp while you’re exploring the Karkonosze, it does exactly what you need it to do without any fuss.
You'll need to let the property know in advance what time you'll arrive.
