The location is honestly perfect if you know the area. You’re about a 10-minute drive from all the touristy stuff on Krupówki, but you wake up to actual forest sounds instead of drunk tourists stumbling around at 2 AM. The owners clearly put thought into this place – it’s got that authentic highlander architecture (the kind locals actually live in, not the Disney version), and the wood still smells properly seasoned when you walk in. What I really appreciated was the parking situation – sounds boring, I know, but anyone who’s tried to park in central Zakopane during ski season will understand why having your own guaranteed spot matters. The rooms aren’t huge, but they’re laid out smartly, and honestly, you’re not going to spend much time inside anyway when you’ve got hiking trails literally starting from the back of the property.

Here’s the thing about staying in this part of Chłabówka Górna – you get the best of both worlds. You can walk to some incredible lesser-known trails (locals use them more than the crowded Morskie Oko route), but you’re still close enough to grab dinner in town or hit the thermal baths when your legs are screaming after a long hike. The breakfast situation was surprisingly good too – proper regional stuff, not just generic hotel buffet nonsense. And the family running it actually knows the mountains; they’ll tell you which trails are worth your time and which ones are just Instagram traps. The only minor thing – and this is really nitpicking – is that the wifi can get a bit spotty during heavy snow, but honestly, that might be a feature rather than a bug depending on why you’re escaping to the mountains. The whole place just has this authentic, lived-in feeling that’s getting harder to find as Zakopane gets more developed. It’s the kind of spot where you’ll actually sleep well (those mountain nights get properly cold and quiet), and you’ll find yourself planning your next visit before you’ve even checked out.
