Just got back from Дикий Зруб in Vorokhta, and I can say — this is a real gem for those wanting to escape the city hustle. The four-star hotel is located right on Ivana Franka street, literally a five-minute walk from Vorokhta center. What I especially loved was the authentic wooden architecture that perfectly fits into the mountain landscape. The staff is very friendly, check-in went smoothly (even though I arrived a bit earlier than standard time). Parking is right by the hotel, which is convenient, especially when you’re bringing skis or snowboard in winter.
The rooms are quite cozy, with wooden furniture and nice mountain views — waking up to such scenery every morning is a real pleasure. Internet works stable, which is important for those who can’t completely disconnect from work. Breakfasts are tasty, mostly home-style cooking with local products. The hotel restaurant makes wonderful Hutsul dishes — definitely try the banosh, it’s something incredible! The only thing that might slightly bother you is sounds from neighboring rooms, the walls aren’t very thick, but if you’re tired after a day in the mountains, this won’t be a problem.
The location is perfect for active vacation: you can reach the ski lifts in 10-15 minutes, and in summer it’s convenient to start hiking trips to the Carpathians from here. In winter the hotel is especially cozy — fireplace in the lobby, mulled wine after skiing, genuine mountain atmosphere. The price matches the quality, especially considering you really feel at home here, just with much better views.
