Diamond Resort Black turned out to be a pleasant surprise during our ski trip to Bukovel. This four-star hotel is located in Staishche area, a bit away from the main hustle and bustle of the resort, which actually became a big advantage — quiet at night, but still close to the lifts (about 10 minutes on foot). Parking is free, which is rare for Bukovel, although spots might run out during high season — better not to arrive too late in the evening.
The rooms are quite spacious, with nice mountain views, especially if you’re lucky enough to get the upper floors. Internet works stably (important for those working remotely), and heating handles even the coldest days. Staff is friendly, though not everyone speaks English — basic Ukrainian will be enough for comfortable communication. Check-in goes smoothly, but standard after 2 PM.
Breakfasts are decent — not Michelin, of course, but you won’t leave hungry. There’s a small spa center with sauna, which is very handy after a day on the slopes. In winter the hotel runs at full capacity, in summer it’s a bit quieter, but that might be a plus for those seeking a peaceful mountain getaway. For the money and with an 8.0 rating — quite a decent option for family vacation or a group of friends. Diamond Resort Black doesn’t claim to be a luxury resort, but it does its job well.
