Cottage u Romana turned out to be a real gem during our Carpathian trip — a four-star hotel that combines the coziness of a home atmosphere with all the necessary amenities. Located on Svobody Street, it’s close enough to the center of Yaremche but away from the main tourist hustle. Free parking right by the building is a huge advantage, especially in summer when the town is packed with visitors. Check-in was quick and hassle-free, the staff is pleasant and ready to help with advice about local hiking routes.
The rooms really do feel like a cottage — wooden elements, cozy furniture, and importantly, everything is clean and tidy. Wi-Fi works reliably, hot water is constant, and the heating handles winter perfectly (personally tested in February!). The only thing that might be slightly bothersome is sounds from neighboring rooms — the walls aren’t super thick, but if you’re planning to spend your days actively in the mountains, this is unlikely to be an issue. Breakfasts are simple but tasty — traditional Ukrainian cuisine with local ingredients. The hosts really try to create a homely atmosphere, and they succeed. For this price and quality of service — a well-deserved rating of 8 out of 10.
