Cosy 2-bedroom flat – Fully equipped
You know what caught me off guard about this place? Walking up to Aleea Felix, I honestly wasn’t expecting much from a residential building in Reșița – but this little apartment on the third floor completely changed my perspective on what a great stay looks like.
The moment Corina (the host) handed me the keys, I could tell this wasn’t your typical rental property. She actually lives in the building, which means everything works properly – and I mean everything. The kitchen’s got real pots and pans (not those flimsy things you usually find), the coffee maker actually makes decent coffee, and there’s proper lighting for reading. It’s one of those places where you can tell someone put thought into the small stuff. The two bedrooms are genuinely comfortable – I slept better here than I have in some four-star hotels, honestly. The main bedroom gets nice morning light, and the second one stays cooler if you’re the type who runs hot at night.
What really sold me on this place was how it sits in the neighborhood. Aleea Felix is quiet enough that you won’t hear traffic, but you’re still close enough to walk into the city center when you want to grab dinner or explore. There’s a little grocery store about two minutes away where the owner speaks decent English (helpful if your Romanian is rusty like mine), and the whole area feels safe for walking around in the evening. Parking’s straightforward too – there’s space near the building, which honestly saved me a lot of headache compared to some places I’ve stayed in Romanian cities. The 9.1 rating makes total sense once you’ve been there a few days. It’s not fancy in that Instagram-perfect way, but it’s genuinely comfortable and functional. The WiFi actually works well enough for video calls, the shower has proper water pressure, and the heating keeps things cozy during those chilly Reșița evenings. I ended up cooking a few meals because the kitchen was so well-equipped – something I rarely bother with when traveling, but it felt natural here.
If you’re the type who needs a concierge and room service, this isn’t your spot. But if you want a place that feels like staying at a friend’s apartment (a friend with really good taste and attention to detail), you’ll love it here. Plus, Corina knows the area well and gave me some great recommendations for local spots that I never would have found otherwise.
You'll need to let the property know in advance what time you'll arrive.
