There’s no official star rating because, well, it doesn’t fit into those neat little boxes that chain hotels live in. The 9.6 rating it’s earned tells you everything you need to know about what actually matters here. I’ve stayed in plenty of “luxury” places that felt sterile and forgettable, but this spot has personality in every corner. The rooms have this cozy, almost cabin-like feel without being kitschy about it – think warm woods and soft lighting rather than fake antlers and plaid everything. What really got me was the attention to small details that most places completely overlook. The coffee setup actually includes decent beans (not those sad little packets), there are proper blackout curtains for people who need real darkness to sleep, and – this might sound weird but hear me out – the shower pressure is fantastic. You don’t realize how much mediocre hotel showers annoy you until you find one that actually works.

The location in Sosnówka means you’re getting that peaceful, away-from-it-all vibe without being completely isolated. It’s quiet enough that you’ll actually hear birds in the morning instead of traffic, but you’re not stranded if you need to grab supplies or find a decent meal. Parking is straightforward, which anyone who’s driven around Polish towns will appreciate – no circling blocks or paying ridiculous fees. The owners (and I’m pretty sure you’ll meet them during your stay) have that rare combination of being genuinely welcoming without hovering. They know their stuff about the area too, so if you’re the type who likes insider tips rather than generic tourist recommendations, you’re in good hands. I mean, this isn’t the kind of place you book if you want a massive pool and room service at 2 AM, but if you’re looking for somewhere that feels more like staying at a friend’s beautifully designed house than a cookie-cutter hotel, Chatka Eden delivers. It’s one of those places that reminds you why boutique properties exist in the first place – because sometimes smaller really is better.
