The whole setup is sort of like a Romanian village reimagined for people who want Instagram-worthy accommodations but with actual comfort. When you pull up (and yes, parking is totally hassle-free, which matters when you’re hauling ski gear or hiking boots), you’re greeted by this collection of traditional-style houses that look like they belong in a fairy tale, except they’ve got modern everything inside.
What really got me was the attention to detail that you just don’t expect in a 4-star place. I mean, the wooden shutters aren’t just for show – they actually keep the morning light out if you’re trying to sleep in after a long day exploring Bucegi Mountains. Each little house has its own personality, with hand-carved details and these thick stone foundations that keep everything surprisingly quiet. The owners clearly know their guests are here for the mountain experience – there’s proper gear storage, places to dry wet clothes, and the kind of solid heating that actually works when it’s freezing outside. The breakfast spread features local honey and homemade jams, plus they source their eggs from farms literally down the road. You can taste the difference, honestly.
But here’s what I think sets this place apart from the bigger hotels in nearby Sinaia or Brasov – it feels like you’re staying at someone’s incredibly well-appointed country house rather than a commercial operation. The staff (which is really just a few local families) remembers your name and actually cares whether you found that hiking trail they recommended. It’s about 20 minutes from the main tourist chaos, which means you get the mountain views and fresh air without the crowds, but you’re still close enough to hit Peles Castle or the cable car up to Omu Peak. The 9.8 rating isn’t just because everything works perfectly – though it does – it’s because staying here feels like you’ve discovered something special that most tourists rush right past. The view and the quietness. It really felt like you were immersed in nature.
The property is very secluded and very quiet - definitely an oasis of quiet and peace. There’s a lot of green & nature & animals around.
We loved our short stay there and will definitely come back. The house was spotless and had everything you might need. It’s also within reachable distance from a delicious restaurant, and you can also have a barbecue on site if you want!
The bed was absolutely comfortable and we had the best sleep there. Definitely recommended!
