The thing that gets me about this place is how it manages to feel both completely authentic and surprisingly polished. I mean, it’s a 3-star spot, so you’re not expecting marble lobbies or whatever, but the attention to detail is pretty remarkable. The rooms smell like fresh wood and clean linens – none of that weird hotel carpet smell you get in chain places.
