I spent a morning exploring the Zărnești Gorge, which is just a short drive away, and the afternoon hiking up toward Omu Peak. Even if you’re not into serious hiking, there are plenty of easier trails through the beech and fir forests. The staff actually knows the area well and can point you toward routes that match your fitness level.
