Overview
You know what? I wasn’t expecting much when I first pulled up to Bukowa Chatka on Wiejska Street – I mean, Bukowiec isn’t exactly on most people’s radar when they’re planning a Polish getaway. But honestly, that’s part of what makes this place so damn charming. It’s this rustic little gem tucked away in what feels like the middle of nowhere, except you’re actually perfectly positioned to explore the Sudeten region without dealing with crowds or tourist traps.
The moment you step inside, you get why this place scores a 9.5 rating. The owners – and I’m pretty sure they live on-site – have this incredible knack for making you feel like you’re staying at your Polish grandmother’s house, if your grandmother happened to have impeccable taste in traditional decor and actually knew how to run a hospitality business. The wooden beams aren’t just for show; they’re part of this genuinely restored structure that creaks in all the right ways. Breakfast is served in this cozy common area where you’ll probably end up chatting with other guests (mostly Germans and Czechs, in my experience) about hiking trails and local breweries. The coffee’s strong, the bread’s fresh, and there’s usually some kind of homemade jam that’ll ruin you for store-bought stuff forever.
What really sets Bukowa Chatka apart is its location – not convenient in the generic sense, but strategically brilliant if you’re serious about exploring Lower Silesia. You’re maybe twenty minutes from some incredible hiking in the Sowie Mountains, and the drive through those winding forest roads is half the experience. Parking’s never an issue (there’s a gravel lot that fits maybe eight cars), and the nights are properly quiet – like, you’ll actually hear owls and maybe some deer rustling around. I stayed there in late September, and the fall colors were absolutely ridiculous. The place fills up during summer weekends with families from Wrocław looking to escape the city, but off-season you might have the whole place to yourself. Check-in was refreshingly personal – no corporate nonsense, just someone who clearly cares about whether you have everything you need and genuinely wants to share recommendations about the area. If you’re looking for a spa resort or room service, keep scrolling. But if you want to experience rural Poland the way it’s supposed to be experienced, with real character and none of the tourist industry polish, Bukowa Chatka gets it absolutely right.

Great big yard and a picnic place around the house.
What could be improved: 1) Only one bathroom for the whole house consists of 4 bedrooms.
2) It looks like there hasn't been a renovation for at least 5 years. Especially in the bathroom and in the toilets. Everything looks too used.
3) The drain in the shower did not work, but the owners fixed it at our request.
4) There were not enough clean towels for all the guests, but the owners brought the next day at our request
5) Strange behavior of the owner - the owner kindly informed that she would not charge for the dog's accommodation, although there was no mention of an additional fee for the dog in the accommodation conditions.
6) All beds are single and too narrow, they look like children beds.
In general, this house is not about comfort, but about how to accommodate as many people as possible, and earning as much money as possible from them.
The location is not the best because the roads in Bukowiec are awful.
Not recommend.

Domek Bukowa Chatka zachwycił nas nie tylko z zewnątrz ale także w środku, wnętrze dopracowane w każdym calu, wygodne łóżka, sprzęt rtv agd, były nawet kapsułki do zmywarki oraz worki na śmieci co nie zdarza się często w takich miejscach! Fajny sprzęt do słuchania muzyki :) Okolica przyjemna, budząc się rano i wyglądając za okno można zobaczyć słodką kózkę :D Ogólnie właścicielka i jej siostrzenica wspaniale osoby, szybko odpowiadały i pomogły podczas gdy jedna osoba z grupy zrobiła sobie krzywdę na stoku. Dziekujemy jeszcze raz, było ekstra! ❤️
What could be improved: W obiekcie wszystko było super ❤️ jedyny minusik, który może się komuś nie spodobać to, że do większej mieściny trzeba dojechać.

Nasz pobyt w Chatce Bukowej był absolutnie wspaniały! Gospodarze okazali się niezwykle pozytywni, otwarci i pomocni, co sprawiło, że czuliśmy się jak w domu od samego początku. Miejsce było nie tylko urocze, ale również zadbane i czyste, co tylko dodatkowo podniosło komfort naszego pobytu. Wszyscy, którzy mieli przyjemność spędzić czas w tej urokliwej chatce, byli bardzo zadowoleni z gościnności oraz atmosfery panującej wokół. Serdecznie polecamy Chatkę Bukową każdemu, kto pragnie spędzić niezapomniane chwile w przyjaznym i pięknym otoczeniu. Dziękujemy gospodarzom za niezapomniane wrażenia!

Domek ładnie wykończony, z pralka, zmywarką. Duży ogród, grill, stół na dworze. Okolica miła, mało aut. Super wypoczynek a i posiedzieć pogrillowac można było i muzykę puścić;)
What could be improved: Przydałaby się mała patelnia :D

Przemiła, życzliwa i wyrozumiała Pani Gospodyni. Cicha i spokojna okolica. Piękne widoki na okolice. Dobrze wyposażony w sprzęty dom. Bardzo duży, ogrodzony teren. Duży i wygodny parking przed domem na kilka aut.
What could be improved: Potrzeba wyjazdu z tego urokliwego miejsca.

Świetna chatka z bardzo fajnym klimatem, dużym salonem z kominkiem, w pełni wyposażoną kuchnią, ogródkiem i profesjonalnym głośnikiem jakby kogoś naszła ochota potańczyć :)
What could be improved: Jedyny minus to brak drugiego prysznica, ale jakoś daliśmy radę.
