The hotel sits right on Szkolna street, which is basically the heart of this sleepy little Polish town, and I mean that literally – there’s maybe three main streets total. But here’s the thing about Bukolik: they’ve managed to create something really special without trying too hard. The building itself has this understated charm that feels authentic, not like someone decided to slap some “rustic” decorations on modern walls and call it character. When you walk in, there’s this immediate sense of calm that’s hard to describe – maybe it’s the way the light filters through the windows, or how quiet everything gets once you’re inside. The check-in was refreshingly straightforward too, none of that corporate hotel rigmarole.

If you’re the type who needs to be in the middle of everything, this probably isn’t your spot. But if you want to actually unwind and maybe remember why you started traveling in the first place, well… you could do a lot worse than ending up in Bukowiec for a few days.
