Just returned from Будинок біля лісу in Skhidnitsa, and I can say — if you’re looking for a real break from city chaos, this is your place. The 3-star hotel is located on quiet Zarichna street, and the name completely lives up to itself — the forest is literally just a few steps from the entrance. Morning walks on paths between pine trees became my favorite ritual (especially when the fog hasn’t cleared yet). The staff is very friendly, at reception they quickly processed check-in, even though I arrived a bit earlier than check-in time.

The rooms are simple but cozy — everything necessary is there, fresh bedding, hot water always available. I got a room with a forest view, and waking up in the morning to birdsong — it’s something incredible after Kyiv’s car alarms and honking. Parking is free right by the hotel, which is very convenient if you’re driving your own car. Wi-Fi works fine, though sometimes in rainy weather it gets a bit “moody” — but isn’t that a reason to disconnect from the internet and enjoy nature?

Skhidnitsa itself is a wonderful place for spa relaxation — mineral springs, clean air, beautiful views. From the hotel it’s convenient to get to the pump room (10 minutes walk), and to the resort center — also not far. The only minus — walls are a bit thin, so if neighbors are noisy, it can be audible (but I was lucky with quietness). Overall, for this price and with an 8.0 rating — it’s an excellent option for peaceful rest in nature. I’ll definitely return here in autumn when the forest turns golden.
