Будиночок В&W у Карпатах turned out to be a real gem for our family mountain getaway. This cozy three-star hotel is located on Hrytsylivka Street in Vorokhta, and although I was initially a bit worried about the address (it seemed like it might be somewhere on the outskirts), it’s actually just a five-minute walk to the village center. Free parking right next to the building is a huge advantage, especially in winter when you don’t want to drag skis and bags from far away. The hosts are very welcoming, check-in was quick, and they immediately gave us useful advice about the best mountain trails.

The rooms are clean and comfortable, though not luxurious — exactly what you need after a day in the fresh air. I especially loved the view from the window of the forests and mountains, and in the morning you can watch the sun slowly illuminate the peaks. The soundproofing is decent, but if you’re sensitive to noise, it’s better to ask for a room not facing the road (though there aren’t many cars there). Wi-Fi works reliably, which is important for those who can’t completely disconnect from work. The breakfasts are homemade and hearty — I especially recommend trying their potato pancakes with sour cream, it’s real Carpathian classic.

What I remember most is the atmosphere of family coziness and the genuine care the hosts show for their guests. They suggested where to buy the best local products, helped organize an excursion to the waterfall, and even gave us a thermos with hot tea for our mountain hike. The 8.0 rating is well deserved — maybe there’s no five-star luxury here, but there’s the main thing: hospitality, cleanliness, and excellent location for exploring the Carpathians. We’ll definitely return here in autumn, they say the views are especially stunning then.
