1910 Boutique – Self Check-In Only

The location on Strada Postăvarului is pretty sweet, actually. You’re maybe a ten-minute walk from the old town center, which means you dodge most of the tourist chaos but you’re still close enough to stumble back after a night out at those wine bars near Piața Sfatului. What I really loved is that you can hear the church bells in the morning – not the jarring kind that wake you up angry, but the gentle ones that make you feel like you’re actually in Romania, you know? The building itself has this authentic 1910s vibe (hence the name, I guess), but they’ve modernized it without going overboard. The rooms have these gorgeous high ceilings and original hardwood floors that creak just enough to feel historic but not enough to drive you crazy.

Here’s what really impressed me though – the attention to detail. The bathroom has this rainfall shower that actually has decent pressure, which is honestly rare in these older buildings. They’ve got blackout curtains that actually work, and the bed is one of those where you sink in just right without feeling like you’re being swallowed alive. The Wi-Fi is solid too, which matters if you’re trying to upload photos of Râșnov Citadel or whatever. I stayed there during shoulder season in October, and the heating worked perfectly – important detail since Brașov can get pretty chilly. The only minor thing is that if you’re on the street side, you’ll hear some early morning traffic, but nothing a pair of earplugs can’t handle. Plus, there’s decent parking nearby if you’re driving, which is actually a big deal in this part of town. The whole experience feels like staying at a well-designed apartment rather than a sterile hotel room, and for the price point, it’s honestly hard to beat.
