Blyzhche Neba is a real gem in Prylisok, a small village near Yablunytsya. When I first saw this three-star hotel, I understood why it has such a name — from the third-floor windows, there’s truly a stunning view of the Carpathian Mountains that seem so close you could reach out and touch them. The hotel is located on Dovgyy Grun, a quiet street where in the morning you only hear birdsong and the sound of mountain streams. Parking is free right at the entrance (which is rare for mountain hotels), and the staff greets you very warmly — the hosts know all guests by name.
The rooms are simple but cozy, with wooden furniture and genuine handmade rugs on the floor. The windows are large with double frames (important in winter!), and each room has a small balcony. Hot water is always available — I checked even late at night after hiking. Wi-Fi works decently, though it sometimes glitches during bad weather. Breakfasts are homemade: fresh bread, local honey, cheese from neighbors, and if you ask, the hostess will prepare real Hutsul dumplings. In summer you can have breakfast on the terrace overlooking the forest, and in autumn — by the fireplace in the common room.
The location is perfect for hiking — it’s a 15-minute walk to the ski lift in Yablunytsya, and trails right behind the hotel lead to waterfalls. In summer it’s cool here even during heat waves, and in winter it’s cozy and warm. The only downside — sometimes in the evening you can hear music from the neighboring restaurant, but this adds atmosphere rather than disturbs. For the price and with an 8.0 rating — this is truly a good choice for those seeking a genuine mountain vacation without unnecessary pompousness.
