What really impressed me was how quiet it gets at night despite being so close to everything. You can hear the Tatras calling in the morning, if you’re into that sort of poetic nonsense, but really you just wake up refreshed instead of feeling like you slept next to a construction site.

The 9-star rating makes total sense once you stay there. It’s not about fancy marble lobbies or whatever – it’s about the details that matter when you’re actually traveling. Hot water that stays hot, WiFi that works when you need to send those mandatory mountain selfies, and parking that doesn’t require a PhD in spatial geometry to navigate. Plus, you’re positioned perfectly for both summer hiking and winter skiing. The bus stop for Gubałówka cable car is literally a five-minute walk, and if you’re heading to Morskie Oko (which, let’s be honest, everyone does), you can catch transport connections easily from here. I stayed here in both July and February, and the place just works – whether you’re coming back muddy from hiking trails or snowy from the slopes, they’ve got you covered without making you feel like you’re tracking dirt through someone’s pristine palace.
