Berloga turned out to be a real gem in Mykulychyn — a cozy four-star hotel that’s perfect for a mountain getaway. Located on Grushevskogo street 78b, it sits right in the heart of this picturesque Carpathian town. When I arrived in autumn, the staff welcomed me very warmly, though check-in started a bit later than the stated time (but that’s typical for mountain hotels). Parking is free and quite spacious — important for those traveling by car through the Carpathians.
The room was genuinely comfortable, with a wonderful mountain view, and breakfasts featured local products — the homemade cheeses and jams were particularly memorable. The hotel operates year-round, but it’s best here in winter during ski season and summer for hiking. The only downside — you can sometimes hear sounds from neighboring rooms (walls aren’t very thick), but overall the atmosphere is very homey. The 8.0 rating is well deserved — Berloga offers excellent value for money for those seeking an authentic Carpathian experience without unnecessary pompousness.
