Okay, so I’ll be honest – when I first saw the name “Bajkowa Osada Murzasichle” I thought I was in for some touristy fairy-tale theme park situation. But actually stepping into this place on Stary Bór street? It’s more like stumbling into someone’s really well-thought-out mountain retreat that just happens to have the most incredible jacuzzi setup I’ve encountered in the Tatras region.
The thing about Murzasichle is that it sits in this perfect sweet spot – you’re still close enough to Zakopane that you can hit Krupówki street for dinner or supplies (maybe fifteen minutes by car), but you’re tucked away where the only sounds at night are the wind through the pines and maybe some distant cowbells if you’re lucky. The domek itself feels authentically mountain-cozy without being kitschy about it. I mean, sure, there are wooden beams and rustic touches, but someone clearly put thought into the layout – the jacuzzi placement alone shows they actually considered how you’d want to use the space. You can soak while looking out at the forest, and honestly, doing that after a day hiking around Gubałówka or exploring the area around Białka Tatrzańska? Pure magic.
What really got me was the attention to small details that you don’t expect from a rental property. The water pressure is actually decent (not always a given in mountain accommodations), there’s proper lighting for reading, and – this might sound weird but hear me out – the WiFi actually works reliably, which matters when you’re trying to share those sunset-from-the-hot-tub photos or need to check trail conditions. The hosts seem to get that people come here to unwind but also want basic comforts handled properly. Parking is straightforward too, which anyone who’s dealt with Zakopane’s summer crowds will appreciate. The check-in was smooth, no awkward key-passing ceremonies or confusing instructions – just clear communication and everything ready when promised. I stayed during shoulder season in late spring, and while I imagine it gets busier in peak winter ski season or summer hiking months, the location on Stary Bór feels residential enough that you’re not dealing with constant tourist traffic. You know what? If you’re the type who needs to be walking distance from restaurants and nightlife, this probably isn’t your spot. But if you want somewhere that feels like a proper retreat where you can actually hear yourself think – and soak in that jacuzzi while planning your next day’s adventure to Morskie Oko or just enjoying the mountain air – it’s pretty much exactly what you’d hope to find tucked away in the Polish Tatras.
You'll need to let the property know in advance what time you'll arrive.
